The trip to Jyväskylä was something

During the first weekend we traveled to Jyväskylä to visit our classmates. We stayed there overnight, since we wanted to see the local nightlife. Jyväskylä is a smaller town, often referred to as a student town. It’s called that since students make up most of the town’s residents. People have been living here since the stone age. But the first notable settlers were farmers in the 17th century. However Jyväskylä really became what it is today in the mid 1800s. Then the first major schools here were established, it’s been Finland’s center of education ever since. It was even referred to as the Athens of Finland. When we arrived our classmates kindly cooked us lunch. After we were done eating we were planning on going to the swimming pool/sauna. What we didn’t know at the time was that there was a swimming competition going on in said pool. After that we decided we would go bowling instead. After we bowled we went to one of Jyväskylä’s clubs. We quickly found out that alcohol here, especially in clubs is really darn expensive.
