Tinkara Jesenko Žitnik 🇫🇮
Zdravo, sem Tinkara Jesenko Žitnik in obiskujem program ustvarjalec modnih oblačil. V okviru projekta Erasmus+ sem na štiritedenski mobilnosti v mestu Lahti na Finskem.

Different people, different culture

The first thing that I noticed in Finland is definitely the people. They’re way more reserved than Slovenes, which I like quite a lot, because they keep more to themselves in public. It only begins to become a little bit problematic when you’re trying to form new friendships and get to know people a little bit more, since it takes more time. But overall I would say that I’m liking Finns and their culture very much, because they really mind their business way more. They also seem to express themselves through fashion way more, which I find very refreshing. Finns are also very polite and pretty quiet.

Another thing that I find fairly interesting is the buses. If you want to go onto the bus you have to really indicate it. People usually hold their hand out, or stand really close to the point of boarding. In Slovenia that is completely different. Buses stop at every single stop where people are standing. It only doesn’t stop for you if the bus is full already, or the driver didn’t see you, which doesn’t happen very frequently.
