During our free time so far we’ve been exploring Tampere. First we obviously had to check what they sell in the local grocery stores. For the most part they have pretty similar food. Except the lack of bread which I still can’t get over. After we were done with that we explored the city a bit and saw some interesting sights. We went to the local observatory, luckily we went on one of the sunniest days so far. I have to say the view is really worth it. You can see the whole city and almost all of the neighbouring ones. From the higher point of view you can also see how flat this part of the country is. We also went to the Moomin museum which I will describe in one of the other blogs. The rest of our free time has been spent cooking and going to a local gym. We were both surprised that the gyms here are really well equipped and relatively cheap. As for the cooking I think we’ve been doing a pretty good job. Considering we’re really not used to cooking all that much. Especially since we have to follow instructions we translate to english as we go along.
