Why are the British everywhere? That was my question after i have been exploring multiple sides of the island.
Everywhere we went there were British people there. Monkey park, the beach, surfing, bazar, nature park and more, they were there. It was funny to us since we heated their accent from a bit away. They are quite loud and we couldn’t not giggle as their most common phrase was “for fucks sake“. I eventually teased an english friend of mine about it. Of course he used the phrase and explained that Spain is a popular tourist destination for the British. He went on and on about some history with the Spanish, which I already forgot about. I found that there are a lot of English restaurants and pubs on the coast sides because of tourism. I even went to a restaurant where they had four different variations of an english breakfast, all of them with beans on toast. The humanity!! What made me laugh the most was when I saw some english men on a stag night! One of them was dressed soo funnily, and I had to take a double look and clamp a hand over my mouth to not laugh from the surprise.

All is to say, I don’t mind them at all, I infect like it! To hear English being spoken kind of feels like home, since i use it all the time when I express myself. Especially since I don’t understand a lick of Spanish, im glad that sometimes i hear a conversation in English, it‘s background noise.
