My first thought was that I wouldn’t be home for a whole month, but I knew it would be an amazing experience. Finally, the day of departure arrived, and we had to wake up very early because our first flight from Brnik was at 9 a.m. After arriving at the airport, we checked in our luggage and then all we could do was wait. It was my first time on a plane, and I really enjoyed it.
When we landed in Istanbul, we had to rush, because our next flight was in just an hour. Istanbul Airport is enormous, and it took us about half an hour to reach the right terminal. We were served lunch on the plane, and surprisingly, it was better than I expected. After landing in Helsinki, it was already dark outside. We collected our luggage and headed straight to the subway.
At that point, we still had a two-hour train ride to Mikkeli. We finally arrived in the city around eleven o’clock in the evening, and from there we called taxi for ride to the apartment. When we got to the apartment, I took a quick shower and went straight to bed after such a long day.
The next morning, our first day at school, we woke up to sunny skies, though it was very cold. After visiting the school, we took a short trip araund town and we get preview of the companies we gonna work with.
