ADRENALINE SPLASH

I usually prefer dry activities over water ones, but my trip to Siam Park was an absolute must. One thing, most of my friends don’t know about me, is that I love adrenaline. I always get satisfied, when I go to amusement park.

The ride to park was long, but we started early, so we slept like a babies on the bus. Siam Park is open from 11 AM to 5 PM, but hours might change during summer days. When we arrived, we were welcomed by a playful animal, that kept us entertained for about 20 minutes. It was a sea lion!

The staff there gave us a map, which guided us through the park. Our first stop was the Mai Thai river, which is kinda popular and the social media calls it “lazy river”. We took our rafts and jumped in. It was pretty slow, so we gave a little push with our feet sometimes.

Next were the water slides. We tried around four to five, but the first one we tried was the Mekong Rapids. The sign said that the water slide was a medium scary, but I thought it was extra wild. We were screaming our lungs out, because of the adrenaline. Then there was Patong Rapids. It was similar to Mekong, but there were some spirals. Nik was so scared and didn’t want to go on any more slides after that. I have to admit, I really thought I am going die a couple times.

Then we headed to Siam beach, where Živa, Nik and Maja were amazed by fake waves. I stayed out of the water, because it was cold and just watched how fun everyone else was having, like if the ocean didn’t have natural waves.

After that, we, girls, decided to try a slide that Nik warned us, was a “disaster”. We wanted to prove ourselves and just went up the stairs without reading the description. Živa and I shared a raft together and Maja took another with a British girl. All of the sudden, we were sliding like formulas down the slide and it was totally insane. Everything happened so fast, there was no time to think about what we were seeing or screaming for. One unforgettable part was when we went uphill. A powerful stream pushed us up. It was a little bit painful,  but when you don’t know what is happening, it really doesn’t matter.

The Jungle snakes then caught our attention, so we went to check it out. The only problem was, that the Volcano and the Dragon slides were nearby, so our eyes were distracted and we ended up on the Dragon. The raft who is a must on the slide, holds maximum four people and since Nik was exhausted and scared, it was just us girls. A lady joined, who didn’t looked scared at all, but after we went down, she was probably screaming the loudest.

After the Dragon, it was time for the Volcano. It was shorter but felt even scarier that the Dragon. We started in darkness in the tunnel, screaming and holding on tight. By then, we were pretty exhausted, so tired that we forgot about the Jungle snake slide. Then we treated ourselves to some food and headed home.

This day was so much fun and I’m convinced that when I tell my fiends about my experience, they might reconsider their plan for the holidays.
