LIVIN LA VIDA LOCA

Living abroad is no just about being in a new place, it is also about discovering a new colture, language and way of life. Every country is different and at first this can feel strange and overwhelming. But is it also exciting and full of new experiences. I have moved before, so changing places is not completely new for me.

However, moving to another country was still a big challenge. I am a sensitive person, so it took me about a week to get used to everything. At first, I struggled with speaking English all the time and felt a bit tired and out of rhythm, but slowly life became easier. Living in Tenerife is very different from life from Slovenia. The weather is amazing almost every day, with bright sun and warm temperatures. The beaches are beautiful and I love walking around along the coast and hearing the sound of the sea. People here seem more relaxed and happy. Life moves slower in a good way and it feels like, everyone takes time to enjoy little things. I enjoy seeing local chat outside, laugh and spent time together. The streets are lively, full of markets and caffes. Even driving is different. People here are more relaxed, although they can still drive fast in some places.

Of course, there are also some disadvantages and small challenges. I noticed differences in daily life, that surprised me. The water tastes different and I can smell chlorine in the shower. My hair feels different and food sometimes taste unusual, even when the dishes look similar to what I know from home. This things made begging a bit harder, but at the same time they are interesting to discover.

Living here has taught me a lot. I learn how to adapt, be more patient and accept differences. Even if it was difficult at the begging living in Tenerife is an amazing experience. I feel lucky to see a new way of life, enjoy beautiful nature and meet new people. I know this experience will help me grow and make me stronger in the future.
