Traffic and morning observations

I am currently on Erasmus in Tarragona, and every morning I walk to the bus station. My path goes through the main square of the city called Rambla Nova. Instead of waking up with my alarm clock, I usually wake up because of the garbage trucks. They come very early to empty the big containers on the streets. After that, city workers also clean the streets. When I leave my apartment, the streets already look very clean.

While I walk across the square, I like to observe what is happening around me. The place is very beautiful with many trees, benches, and small coffe shops. In the morning the atmosphere is calm and pleasant. However, I often see homeless people sleeping on benches or near buildings. The square is still very nice, but it makes me feel sad to see people living like that.

On my way I also notice the traffic in the city. In some ways it reminds me of Ljubljana. The cities feel similar in size, but the driving style is a little different. Drivers use their horns quite often. Many people also do not always wait for the green light at the crosswalk. Because the streets are narrow, people usually just check for carand cross the road.
