A disastrous day

I planed a more of a last minute trip to the capital of Finland, Helsinki. We decided to go on the Saturday. The morning already didn’t start of the best, since my roommate didn’t get sent her train ticket, but because I already bought it, and it was past the time frame in which you can change your ticket for a different train, we decided to just get there on different trains and meet there. But then she finally found a site that sold tickets for the same train.

When we finally got to Helsinki we decided to get food, but the restaurant that I fancied opened at 10 a.m. so we went to the shopping centre that was in front of the main train station. There I found an amazing store that sold alternative clothes. We killed some time there, and then the restaurant finally opened, so we took a walk there. But of course as the title suggests something went wrong. Helsinki is a bigger city, so they’ve got trams. To cross the street you have to walk across some smaller pavements. She didn’t notice a sudden drop of the floor and tripped. She then twisted her ankle a little bit. Of course we didn’t really know what to do in a situation like this, so I ended up just asking random people at the information centre. The only clinic near us was a private one. We decided to just take the next train back to Lahti and just go to the hospital there. The day just couldn’t get an worse, right? Right??

聽When we finally came to the hospital, the info desk wasn’t working, so we had to call the information’s number. We then couldn’t find the emergency room, and where walking around the hospital for at least half an hour already. After we finally found it, they said that it wasn’t anything serious. And after this, we finally took the taxi back home. The day was long and quite umm adventurous I must say. At least it wasn’t anything serious and she’s feeling much better now.
