Pandas at our home….

Hey! <3

On Saturday we woke up pretty early because we had train tickets for Ähtäri. We had breakfast, drank coffee, packed food for the whole day and got on a trolley to the railway station. The day couldn’t start better because it was SUNNY outside! We took our train to the Seinäjoki where we had to trespass to another train to the Ähtäri. We were so excited to visit the ZOO, mainly because of the pandas. Buuuuuuutttt that is where the problems began. We went to the other platform and waited for the train. We saw a red sign on the display but we weren’t really paying attention, because it was in Finnish. At 10.28 we heard an announcement over the speaker that our train was replaced by a bus.

So we stared running back to an info point because we didn’t know where the bus station is. We realized that they don’t even have info point at Seinäjoki station. We asked a man who walked by where is the bus station. We ran there, but it was too late. We already missed it. Of course we wanted to fix it ourselves but we were a bit confused. We already called the agency where we bought our tickets but they didn’t answer the phone. We wrote a message to them but their responding time was too slow. We decided to ask a woman for an advice how could we come to the Ähtäri as soon as possible because the ZOO closed at 15.00. She was so kind and ready to help. She said that the best option is to get a train back to Tampere because not many lines go to Ähtäri and we would arrive too late.. Another problem was because we already bought the tickets for the ZOO, so the best option we had is to call them and ask for a refund. We successfully canceled the ZOO tickets. And made a reservation for a train back home.

We got coffee at the nearest hotel for free and we finally reached the VR company and explained what happened. We got a refund for the train tickets too.

When we finally arrived home we watched some videos of pandas to fill our hearts. This wasn’t the best experience from Finland but at least it was sunny (and we got free coffee 😉 )
