First real day in Madrid

For the first real day at Madrid we had planned a visit to the companies where we would work, tour of the school and buying our public transport tickets for the month.

I woke up at around 8 am and got ready for the day. At 9:30 we left the appartment to meet with Nuria, Erasmus coordinator from Spain, that also teaches train electrics. First she drove us to the workshop where the other two students would work, after the visit to that workshop, it was time to visit the workshop where me and my schoolmate would work. The company is called Talleres Chenauto, we got all the information that we needed for the first day of work and left for the school where Nuria works. School is called CIFP Profesor Raul Vazquez.

At school while we waited for the teachers, Nuria gave us maps to metro and showed us on which station we should get off when we would go to work. When the teachers came we had a tour off the school, and while the clasrooms were smaller and there were less of them than at our school, the workshops were bigger than at our school. They have 3 big workshops, 1st one for cars, 2nd for planes and the last one for trains and trucks.

After the tour we had lunch with students that went to Slovenia for exchange. After lunch Nuria took us to get public transport tickets which include Metro (underground train), EMT (bus service), tram and Carcanias Renfe (overground train). She then drove us to Metro station Miguel Hernandez, from where we took our first metro ride to station Menendez Pelayo. We got off metro and walked to our appartment.

To finish the day we talked in the living room.
