New city, new people

On sunday at midnight i was all packed and ready to leave home. I arrived at the school about 1 o’clock where we met with the rest of the group who were chosen to go to Aversa in Italy.
The time flew by really fast becouse i had great company with me, well for most of the time some of them also took some naps in between.

Even though i hadn’t slept all night i had a lot of energy becouse of the thrill of traveling, going on the airplane again and meeting new people. Maybe the espresso also helped a little bit.

Once we arrived at the airport we had to do the usual steps, like getting through security and resisting to buy anything at the duty-free shops, finding the gate and of course waiting for them to open the gate.
Once on the plain I couldn’t wait to fly off into some new and unknown place. I enjoy flying, the best fealling is right at the begining before it takes off it’s hard to describe the fealling for those who haven’t experienced it for themselves.

It was fun to see some of my friends who have never been on an airplane before and different reactions they had, but i knew everything was going to be alright, and it was. Once we landed in Neaplj i couldn’t wait to go out to get some sun. The weather was so warm and sunny, just what i hoped it would be.
Once we sat in the van that was waiting for us I got a little bit nervous about what my host will be like, will we get along,聽will there be any complications… But after arriving to Aversa the nervousness went away.

There I met Chiara, my host and her father. They were waiting for me at the hotel where my teachers were staying. Of course we went to her home where i met the rest of the family, her mom and her little brother. After i got settled in i was offered some coffee and breakfast, but i wasn’t very hungry. I had no idea that i arrived at Aversa around 9 o’clock i actually tough it was closer to 12 o’clock, but i definitely got confused becouse of not sleeping all night.

After all of that Chiara showed me around the house, there was almost like a little park in the back, all in green coverd with diffrent kinds of plants, we talked for a little to get to know each other, it was very fun. Then we decided to take a little walk through the city center or the heart of Aversa. She showed me a lot of beautiful monuments and told me a lot of fun facts about the city. The one who stuck with me the most is that there are 100 churches in Aversa, this fact took me by suprise. We also went to the park where we met some other people from the exchange.

Soon after that it was lunch time where we ate a lot of great food, and everything was so good. At lunch i also met her grandfather.
After lunch I went to lay down a little bit to rest from the sleepless night, unknowingly i woke up 6hours later just in time for dinner, we went out to meet with some friends again and we went to a pizzerija where I ordered margarita. It was good and very filling. After that we went for a night walk around the city.

At the end of the day we had our well deserved rest to gather our energy for the next day.
