Flying for the first time

Around a month ago was the first time I’ve ever flown by a plane. The whole experience was actually quite enjoyable. I wasn’t really nervous about, which I found kind of weird because I really thought that I would’ve been. The actual flying was really fun. I was switching movies every 15 minutes, and playing games on the little screen. The music selection on the first flight was really good, but on the second one it wasn’t. That’s why I just ended up listening to my own music.

The food on the plane turned out to be edible, which I wasn’t really expecting because people really complain about it usually. On the first flight we had breakfast which was a little omelette with avocado. It was quite alright and not too eggy for my liking. I also really liked the water that came in a little yoghurt-like container. On the second flight from Istanbul to Helsinki we had lunch. I got pasta with tomato sauce (if I remember correctly), which was really creamy and genuinely very good. The only downside is that is stains clothes. Speaking from experience.

Also a little ting that I got kind of surprised about is the size of the Istanbul’s airport. I knew that it was huge, but it was even bigger than I imagined. When we landed it took us about 10 minutes or even more to get to the deplaning point. Which is a quite a long time if you ask me. Also the airport as whole is giant. It took us half an hour to get from one gate to another. And we weren’t even at the end of the airport.
