This week at school we learned how to weld using the MAG welding process. Before we started welding we had to cut the metal pieces with a plasma cutter. That was an important step because we needed precise parts to make a final product.

For me welding was a bit easier because I had already done it during my practical training. Still I gained a lot of experience and improved my welds. The teacher showed us different techniques and helped us correct our mistakes.

At first some of my welds were not the best but with practice they got much better. I learned how important it is to have the right settings on the welding machine. The speed and angle of the torch also made a big difference.

By the end of the week I felt more confident in my welding skills. It was a great experience and I think everyone learned something useful. Welding is a skill that takes time to master but with practice it gets easier.
