Tampere is the second largest urban area and third most populous municipality in the country, after Helsinki and Espoo municipalities.The city is surrounded by the municipalities of Kangasala, Lemp盲盲l盲, Nokia, Orivesi, Pirkkala, Ruovesi, and Yl枚j盲rvi. Tampere is 160km away from Helsinki. It’s located in the south of a Finland. The Tampere city is in between two lakes N盲sij盲rvi and Pyh盲j盲rvi. The area of the city is 524.89聽km2. Currently there are 228,173 inhabitants in Tampere.
Tampere is a hometown of Finnish ice hockey. Two exceptional ice hockey teams come from Tampere: Ilves and Tappara. They are most successful teams in Finland.
Tampere is also home to one of the last museums in the world dedicated to Vladimir Ilyich Lenin.
