FIRST WEEK IN DENMARK

FIRST WEEK IN DENMARK

The first week was very busy with afternoon activities, as well as new learnings and challenges at school.

Every day, after a delicious breakfast at school, we focused on learning about pneumatic systems. Pneumatics are essential in industrial automation as they enable fast and reliable machine operation. We started with the basics – getting to know compressors, valves, cylinders, and fundamental pneumatic circuits. Once we mastered these, we moved on to more advanced circuits, including sequential operations and automatic feedback systems. We then explored electro-pneumatics, where we controlled system operations using solenoid valves and sensors. In the final phase, we learned how to troubleshoot circuits, looking for issues like air leaks, valve malfunctions, or improper functioning of electrical components. Through these stages, we are gradually gaining knowledge and experience for work in the industry or further studies in automation and mechatronics.

After school, we explored the city, tried our hand at bowling, played various sports games, and watched movies in the evening.

On Friday, we climbed to a viewpoint at the Alsik Hotel, where the view was truly breathtaking.

On Saturday, we went on a trip to the Open-Air Museum –  Dybbøl Banke, which is a historic area with the iconic Dybbøl Mill, a magnificent landscape and the History Center Dybbøl Banke, which tells about the fateful war in 1864 between Denmark and the German states of Prussia and Austria. where we walked a lot and read memorial stones about the battles fought by soldiers, Sergeant TV Willa, and others, at the site of the Reduba fortress, and the trenches of Skamse, where they rested between battles.

Sunday was more relaxing, reserved for laundry and exploring the surrounding area.

The Tenerife Chapter
