A TRIP TO TOLEDO

On Sunday in the morning, we went to a trip to Toledo.

A trip really started a few days earlier, because we started planning what, when and where we were going to visit. When planning, we compared some providers and at the end chose the best one. To Toledo was organized transportation, so we have to woke up quite early. It took us about an hour to get there, meanwhile I was watching The Formula 1 race on my phone.

Our trip journey in Toledo began at Plaza de Zocodover, where we also had a little break. After that, our guide showed us around and told us some interesting historical informations. We went by statue of Miguel de Cervantes famous Spanish writer. He wrote Don Kihot (El Ingenioso Hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha). After that we stopped in front of Santa Cruz museum.

The streets in Toledo are very narrow and you can quickly get lost in between them. While walking through them, we got to the cathedral Santa Maria. Usually, the cathedrals have two very big bell towers, but because they ran out of money and now there is just one tower.

The tour ended quickly, so we went to a nearby café and when we wanted to pay the bill the waiter asked us “where are we from” and we told him that “we are from Slovenia”. After a while he showed us a dozen of pieces of paper with different customers around the world. Later we went on our own tour around Toledo to visit army museum, where they have saved different objects from different centuries.

After viewing we went to eat and then slowly headed back towards Madrid. At around 7pm we arrived, with a little sunburn on my neck and arms.
