My first impression of Madrid is very different from my expectations. At first when we arrived into the country I think to myself how big it really is. We arrived at the Madrid airport where we continue聽 the way to metro. I was very happy that the teachers were with us because I would definitely get lost in all those streets.
The next day when the teachers told us we have to use metro by ourself we get lost almost on the beginning. In other way the city is safe and friendly even thought they don鈥檛 speak English very well. I was surprised that such a big country with that hight education level and that many tourist don鈥檛 speak English even a little bit. Except the coordinator and some people with who we have spoken in English the communication is a little bit difficult. Any way the people are still verry generous and helpful towards us and try to help us as much as possible.
And I can’t forget about the sunny whether that we have here. In Slovenia at this time is already very cold but in Spain it鈥檚 almost like fall temperatures. What is interesting about it is that it鈥檚 not much rain in this country because of the position of the country. That influence the plants and聽 consequently the food with Mediterranean characteristics.聽 I am excited to see new and interesting things about Spanish culture and specially food which I would really like to try.
