Our free time trip took a very unexpected turn when we discovered the iconic Los Cristianos Market… and let’s just say, our wallets have not been the same since.
The first time we went, I told myself, “Just look, don’t buy.”
Five minutes later, I was negotiating like a seasoned businessman.

They really try to get us tourists with prices like 80 or 90 euros, but I was ready.
Back in Bosnia and Herzegovina, we have a similar market called “pijaca,” where bargaining is basically a sport, so I definitely had experience in this department.

I somehow walked away with a “Louie Vuitton” wallet that looked suspiciously convincing from a distance.
Not me feeling like I just stepped out of Paris Fashion Week.
And because self-control is clearly not my strength, I also grabbed a Burberry-style bucket hat that I bargained down to just 10 euros.
Was it real? Absolutely not.
Did I feel rich? Absolutely yes.
The second time we went back… things escalated.
This was no longer shopping, this was a full-on mission.
I decided I was going to become everyone’s favorite person and buy gifts for my friends and family.
Suddenly, I was out here bulk-buying like a reseller.
I found TWO “PRADA” bags for just 10 euros for Mia and my aunty, and at that point I stopped questioning reality.
I also picked up a polo shirt for Lovro, designer bags for my best friends Zarja, Taja, Julija, and Asinia, plus random accessories I definitely didn’t need.

The highlight had to be the magma bracelets I got for me and my friends, and I even had a lovely chat with the seller.

By the end of it, I was carrying so many bags I looked like I owned the market.
My bank account, however, was silently crying in the background.
Would I do it all over again? Without hesitation. Sign me up.
