Our guide Jura from Vaasa, which is a city on the west coast of Finland and who is also a teacher at Vamia School (Vamia is a multi-disciplinary vocational education provider with over 7,000 students every year)  took me on a trip to a horse farm. His friend Suvi rents a box 17km away from the center of Vaasa. On Thursday, March 31, 2022, at 5:00 pm, Suvi picked me up in front of the block, i took my work clothes with me, as I helped her clean the drain and the box. When we got to the riding club, my gaze went straight to cleanliness and tidiness, as it was already visible from afar that cleanliness came first. After the work was done (cleaning the box) I was helping her groom the horse and get him ready to ride. We took the horse to the arena and warmed it up. This was followed by horseback riding and various exercises such as horseback riding, galloping and relaxation. She told me that this mare I rode won the race in 2020 and reached second place at horse show in 2021. She also showed me the places where they store horse food, the place where they shower horses and the pantry for saddles and bridles.

However, there is a house near the riding club where a strange man lives  and who complains that the smell of horses stinks and that the horses should be removed, so she said she doesn’t know what to do with the horses, as they don’t have such tidy and clean rooms elsewhere. She also confided in me that she pays 400€ per month for boxing, which is a lot for our situation, but she explained that they also have higher salaries here than in Slovenia.

In addition to Finnish horses, they also have others, (white) is Andalusian, and (brown) Spanish horse could not tell me the exact breed.

Finnish horses are characterized by two colors. Brown and blond and just brown.
