MOOSE

The moose (scientific name Alces alces) is the largest member of the deer family. It has a stocky, horse-like skull and powerful, usually shovel-shaped horns, weighing up to 20 kg. The female is hornless, the males shed their horns after mating and grow new horns in spring. It lives in the swamp forests or Eurasia and North America. He is a good swimmer and likes to dive up to 5 m deep. It is suitable for domestication. It is used for traction and riding, but has not yet been fully domesticated. They are between 2 and 2.9 m long and have a shoulder height of 1.5 to 2.1 m. They weight up to 800 kg. They live in deciduous and mixed swamp forests.

No one denies that the moose is a true giand. Although this king of the forests may not look graceful with his long legs, he can use them to fend off a pack of wolves. Moose learn to swim within a few days of birth. They were seen swimming for miles and diving up to six metres deep to eat aquatic plants.

A moose can deteced movement almost directly behind it with its eyes without having to move its head. His nose also comes in very handy. His senses package also includes excellent hearing. It can turn its ears in all directions, so it can pick up the sounds of other moose up to 3 kilometres away.

My friends and I drove around a lot, but unfortinately we didnt see any moose.
