The people of Finland have many interesting customs and habits that are unique to their culture. Here are some of them:

  1. Sauna: Sauna is a Finnish tradition that involves taking a hot bath in a wooden room with hot rocks and steam. It is an essential part of Finnish culture and a social activity that is enjoyed by many.
  2. Coffee: Finns are one of the world’s biggest coffee consumers, and coffee breaks are an integral part of Finnish culture. It is common for people to take a coffee break called “kahvitauko” during the workday to socialize with colleagues and friends.
  3. Nature: Finland is known for its beautiful natural landscapes, and the Finnish people have a deep appreciation for nature. It is common for Finns to spend time outdoors, picking berries and mushrooms, fishing, and camping.
  4. Sisu: Sisu is a Finnish concept that means resilience, perseverance, and determination. It is a quality that is highly valued by the Finnish people and is often associated with the Finnish national character.
  5. Silence: The Finnish people are known for being quiet and reserved, and they value silence as a way to recharge and reflect. It is common for Finns to spend time alone in nature, enjoying the peace and quiet.
