It was the first time I attended any live match. Because hockey is a very popular sport in Finland, we decided to watch a hockey game, of course.
We, the exchange students, didn鈥檛 go alone, tutor students also went with us. They are Finnish students, who decided to help foreign students to get around their country and introduce them to their hometown. This was the first time we met.
However, a home hockey team called the Pelicans played against another Finnish team. The locals, Pelicans, won. I can say that it was very exciting to cheer. I would never have thought that I would ever get accustomed into the game, wait impatiently for a new goal, or cheer loudly. It is quite a lot different from watching a match through the TV screen. There is no such atmosphere and no such view as live. It is not the same at all.
I was very impressed with the match and I am sure that I will be supporting athletes in live match again soon.
