Busses. Everyone uses one eventually and gets used to the bus system of their country. In Slovenija I am used to getting a yearly card for the bus without the additional city bus charges. Imagine my surprise when I payed one cent for a bus ride in Santa Cruz!
Of course now I realise how silly it was of all of us to think it would only cost that little, but we really felt like we were on top of the world!…for about five minutes until we realised that we will definitely be charged with a delay. Still it made us laugh at the end of the day…that is until the first charge came, two and a half euro! By then we have already been riding with buses for a weak, paying with our cards. We quickly did some math (yes it was correct, we double checked) and realized that if we continue to pay by card, we will spend one hundred euro by the end of erazmus!
We will definitely be getting the recommended cards for the, as only the locals may use and bus the monthly one, im still dreading the charges as I wait for them!
