Its been a week and a bit since we came back to Slovenia, so for this blog I will write about what that has been like, what I miss about Tenerife, what i have adapted from my one month living there and more.
As soon as I came back, I was hit by the cold weather. Just standing and waiting for a bus to school was enough to get me sick and cool my fingers stiff! It’s not fun being sick that soon after I come back, but one must get over it. Sickness or not, what I am very happy about is that I can go on walks in Kamnik. I can go at any time of the day, without fear of getting lost and the greenery is soo pretty. Speaking of greenery, just like I wrote in a past blog, about missing Zabrezje, I went there and went for a walk. Oh how i missed the vast forests and vineyards and as a bonus, cherry trees are in bloom!

Back to Kamnik, something that I quickly searched for was guacamole as I’ve gotten so used to eating it that its now a necessity. For some reason, we couldn’t find water flavoring like we are used to in Slovenia, so im glad i have that now. Honestly im glad I have my kitchen back, on Tenerife we had very limited tools to cook. We had only the most important stuff, like a whisk, knifes, cutting board and so on… the knifes were duller than my math knowledge. Of course i miss the lower prices of mercedona, our shops are more expensive, at least Kamnik has a good veriety of shop options. Then of course, there is my family, which i missed dearly. It might be weird to some that a grown woman missed her family so much, but to me, they are everything and I will make sure that they get to experience Tenerife too.
To end this rant I want to say this: I DID NOT MISS KAMNIK BUSSES. On my first day back one bus just didn’t come to get us, and the next one was late for HALF AN HOUR. All in all I should be grateful that the second buss came at all…
