Mikkeli  is a town  in Finland. It is located in what used to be the province of Eastern Finlandand is part of the Etelä_Savo region.  The municipality has a population of 54,390 and covers an area  of 3,229.57 square kilometres (1,246.94 sq mi) of which 424.7 km2   (164.0 sq ml) is water. The population density is 32 inhabitants per square kilometre (83/sq mi) . 

Slovenia  is  located in southern Central Europe. It is bordered by Italy to the west, Austria to the north, Hungary to the northeast, Croatia to the south and southeast, and the Adriatic Sea to the southwest. It covers 20,273 square kilometers (7,827 sq mi) and has a population of 2.06 million. It is a member of the European Union, and NATO. The capital and largest city is Ljubljana.
