Trip to Hojer

For the last day in Tonder, we went on a trip to the city Hojer. Hojer is a small town with a population of about 1000 people.

We eyed the oldest Denmark windmill, which is called Bech’s windmill. It is very high and we had the chance to check it out on the inside too. There are huge wooden gears, on top of it.

Then we moved onward to find dams. There are two, the older and the new one. We walked about 15 minutes to the oldest one, but there was no sea, just a canal.

Then we walked another 20 minutes to the new one and finally riched the sea. It was very beautiful, but the problem was, it was windy weather. It was the windiest day of all, since I came to Denmark, so we went back very quickly.

We were lucky because the bus came 10 minutes after we came to the bus station so we didn’t have to wait long.
