Mesto Talin je glavno mesto in glavno pristanišče Estonije. Mesto je bilo ustanovljeno leta 1248 toda nekatera naselja so stara tudi 5000 let. Mesto leži na severu države 80 km južneje od mesta Helsinki. Mesto pokriva 159,2 kvadratnih kilometrov in ima približno 443,894 prebivalcev, kar je kar 32% prebivalcev Estonije.
