It was morning, we were slowly getting up, and going on breakfast in groups. After we feed our tummies we went to the school’s welding area. There the teacher has first introduced a MIG type of welding. MIG type of welding works, that filling material has to touch an area you want to weld. When the machine starts welding, it also automatically gives u more filling material, which is located inside the welding machine that is wound in a reel. After the teacher’s presentation, we tried it on our own, and this was our first time welding on exchange. There we learned different types of welds, with different techniques. After we already got some practice with MIG welding, we went on a TIG welding. This was a bit more confusing for most since you have to have a steady hand and put filling material in weld by hand. After some time teacher gave us the exercise to weld a Penta sphere with MIG welding. This was a really good exercise because you needed to make welds at different angles. We finished the day with a dinner where we shared our opinions on welding.
