Tucked away near the center of Jyväskylä, the Alvar Aalto Museum gives you a look into Finnish architecture. We went there by bus and it took around 10 minutes. The building itself already looks interesting and modern. When you walk in, everything feels very clean and minimalistic. You are surrounded by drawings and models of buildings.A lot of them were designed by Alvar Aalto himself. There are also pieces of furniture that he created. It was interesting to see how simple designs can look so good. Some of the exhibits show how buildings were planned step by step. You can also learn about his life and career. There are videos that explain his ideas. Some parts are interactive which makes it more fun.It was a bit quieter than other museums. But that actually made it more relaxing. You can take your time and really look at everything.Outside the museum there are nice walking areas. We walked around a little after the visit. The whole experience felt very modern and calm.It was something different compared to other museums.Overall it was a very interesting visit.
