Sometimes i miss Slovenia

Sometimes I get a feeling I miss Slovenia . Living alone in this big city has given me a lot of time to think. I never thought that sometimes downgrading in life can actually be an upgrade at least if it helps you reach your goals.

Well, enough of that my friends from Slovenia would probably say stop with the words of wisdom. So, back on track. What I mostly miss is seeing grass. In a city like Paris, you can only really see it in parks, and it doesn鈥檛 give you the same feeling of freedom as in Slovenia. I also miss seeing forests, which is something I never thought I would say. Paris feels like a concrete jungle. Sometimes I miss seeing and hearing birds in the morning, but that鈥檚 probably common for people who move from villages to big cities. On the other hand, I don鈥檛 miss the smell of cow manure every time I go outside, and I definitely don鈥檛 miss the sound of chickens and hens in the morning. One thing I really miss is speaking Slovenian. Every now and then, I feel like I hear Slovenian while someone is talking, but it turns out not to be the case. And from what I can see, French people don鈥檛 really like speaking English鈥攎aybe because of the history between the French and the English.

Sometimes I wonder if I will get used to this lifestyle or if I will always miss the quiet and nature of home. Still, I know this experience is helping me grow as a person.
