Lost in Louvre

One random weekend, my roommate Klemen and I went to the Louvre. Of course, there was no planning we just wanted to see the Mona Lisa, aka the Da Vinci Code experience. Before we got to the Louvre, we walked through a nice park. After that, we got a bit lost before even getting in.

Now let me explain how we got lost before entering the Louvre. After asking several employees where to enter, every single one gave us a different route. After 45 minutes and even “photobombing” a wedding we finally found the entrance. Imagine searching for something that was right in front of your nose the whole time the big glass pyramid was the entrance all along. As soon as we got into the Louvre, we waited in line for tickets we didn鈥檛 even need, because we are under 24 and live in Europe. After all that, we were finally inside. We took a walk through Napoleon鈥檚 living spaces, which really gives you a perspective on how rich he was. After that, the search for the Mona Lisa started and we got lost again. I wish the Louvre wasn鈥檛 as big as it is. We went through almost the whole museum before realizing we missed just one part and of course, that was where the Mona Lisa is. And who would have thought so many people would want to see her? Man, when I saw the painting, I thought it would be bigger. I really thought it would be bigger honestly, it鈥檚 about the size of an A3 paper. I only wanted to see the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper, but I forgot that The Last Supper is in Milan and not Paris. After that, we left. We spent about two and a half hours in the Louvre and got out just before closing.

Movies can give you an unrealistic perspective on how big or small something is without you even noticing.
