My First Impressions

As an Slovenian, the only thing I knew about Spain was its football team and the food culture. As I exited the Madrid airport., the first thing I observed was the vibrant atmosphere witch was assisted by the clouds. The life in general is more relaxed compared to other European countries. People tend to stay up late as Spanish nightlife goes on until the wee hours of the morning. Even Barcelona had the same vibes along with the advantage of having a beach. However, Barcelona is truly unique in some ways that may not be readily apparent to casual visitors, and to those not familiar with Spanish history, culture and politics. Although Spanish is an official language, most people in this city and the surrounding areas. I fell in love with the humble and warm nature of Spanish people, the architecture and Sangria. The only downside may be that not everyone speaks English so a few Spanish words may come in handy as they say.
