Monday – Disaster day

Monday, 18th of November

Hola amigos!

Ohh what a Monday… So this was one of those days. Everything that could, went wrong.

The first thing in the mornign, we slept in. I open my eyes, look at the clock and freak out. So naturally we start panicking. It was also the first day of work in the second company we worked for (called Arealonga in Candelaria), so that put on a little extra pressure on us aswell. We then rushed and tried to make ourself some lunch and while we’re doing that the fuses vlew out and we lost electricity. So there we are in the middle of our kitchen, late to work with no lunch prepared in the dark. You can’t have a worse start of the day.

We decided to walk to the main bus station because we wanted to save some money and we figured it would be nice to stretch our legs and take a stroll. We almost got lost on the way there by the way so that was ”nice” aswell. So we finally get to the bus station, we take the bus and the first thing we notice is that the bus station that we’re driving past don’t match the ones on google maps. It was the correct route but the names were all messed up. We’re on the bus trying to figure out the station names and because of that we miss our exit so we went a little bit too far.

We get to work (on time shockingly) and the first thing we notice is that noone speaks English. That was a whole new level of craziness. We barely communicated and agreed on what we had to do and work on in the company. Later when we come home we decide to make ourselfs a lovely late lunch/dinner and make some pancakes. And yes, before you ask, we burned a few because it wouldn’t be a regular Monday if something didn’t go wrong. Thankfully the rest were pretty good and we had a lovely meal.

Even though it was a rough and a disasterful day, we ended it on a good note with pancakes in our hand on our couch, watching a good movie.
