Living in Madrid is different. But it is pretty easy, not at first sight though. My first impressions of Madrid were that, I’m for sure getting lost in this big city with three million people walking around. That’s more than my whole country, that’s scary when you’re not used to seeing that many people on the roads and sidewalks. Slovenia has a population of two million people, and that’s a whole country. During the week the city wakes up at around 5 am. When we go to Iveco, there are almost as many cars on the highway, as there are during the day. The subways in Madrid are full of people most the times. In the afternoon on the weekend, you can hardly move on the main lines that lead to the center of the city. I’m not a fan of that, too much people for my liking. There are also a lot of tourists in the city, you can notice them since they act like us, lost and always looking at a map. But we are getting used to the city quickly, and the subway system is easy to get. The systems for bus and metro are amazing, you can get everywhere quickly and you only need a card. With the card you can use a subway or a bus. Maybe better than in Slovenia, but the drivers of the buses here are really bad. They need to improve in that. I’ve almost fallen like ten times now. But overall living in Madrid isn’t that bad, i like that they are pretty modern, I thought the city would be more outdated. But it’s nice, i wouldn’t have that much of a problem if I had to live here. Still Slovenia, for me wins this battle, but maybe that’s because I’m used to it.
