All week we thought about looking around Madrid, seeing the great city in our own eyes. Me and Lan made some great new friends in Iveco, they gave us a map of Madrid in pointed out the best things to see during the weekend. We decided to visit the west side of Madrid today and it was great.
When we got off the subway and steped outside, the sun was shining and people were everywhere. I mean really everywhere. First we decided to go to the famous outside city market, where there were tables and on them there were items, clothes, suveniers. The guys in Iveco sad, we can bargain for prices to get them lower then the original, but we didn鈥檛 buy anything yet, we wanna save some money for now.
Next we decided to go around the city and look for some nice structures, we were not disapointed. We started with Iglesia de San Francisco el Grand. We walked north, to the Plaza de Oriente, this structure was amazing to see, we also went inside the church where there were strict rules about how to act inside. We left just when the church was in session.
Next we went behind the Plaza de Oriente, to the garden Jardines del Palacio Real. Guys in Iveco also told us that egyptians build a structure in the Jardines Ferraz, it鈥檚 called Tempto de Debod. It was interesting to see how many people were in line to take a picture on the thing but we didn鈥檛 think much of it.
We got hungry and called it a day, we slowly went to the subway station and head towards the apartment, where we ate like kings. We made around 1,5kg of pasta, with chicken. We got full fast, 聽and everybody had to lay down. That was it for our Sunday look around, it was great.
