We had a day off today again. I鈥檓 going to complain about the subway trains again, so be ready. We woke up at around twelve. We needed one hour to decide what we wanted to do today. We figured we could go to the cable cars of Madrid that take you across the city, which would give us an amazing sight over the city from above. So first, we made ourselves breakfast. It all went great, we made some delicious homemade tortilias. At around two o鈥檆lock, we finially got up and went to the metro station. This is where the bad things started happening. We got on the first metro, it was so hot I started to sweat, like there was no oxygen on the train. I鈥檝e never seen so many people on a metro in all my three weeks here. I got wet from all the sweat, after that we crossed to another metro. Stuff were even worse. I was sweating even more than on the previous train. No air again. So many people, we hardly got out at our stop. After all the hustle, we arrived at our destination. When we stepped out and took in some fresh Madrid air, we felt better. We were excited. We were sure it was definitely worth it to get here. We would see the whole Madrid from above in the cable cars. Around two hundred meters of walking, we saw the gondola station. At first glance, it looked like it was closed. It can鈥檛 be, on the internet it didn鈥檛 say it鈥檚 supposed to be closed today. We got to the front door, ofcourse it was closed for maintenence the one day we decided to come. We drove an hour and a half on airless, hot metros just to see it being closed. It truly was a disastrous day, the tortilias were amazing though.
