Slide Into Terror!

I never thought a simple water slide could ruin my life…or at least my confidence. But here we are. Me, Živa, Maja, Doroteja, and a shared love of chaos, decided to try the slides at Loro Parque. At first, it seemed innocent enough. Screams, laughter, splashes, what could go wrong?

Well, apparently, everything!

When it was my turn, I clutched the sides like my life depended on it. My eyes were either squeezed shut so tight I thought my eyelids might rip, or wide open, staring straight ahead like I had seen Jesus. Živa, Maja, and Doroteja were screaming, laughing, and somehow enjoying themselves. I was praying to god we survive.

The first slide ended, and I realized something terrifying: I might have a new fear. Forget spiders or clowns..this might be scarier.

My friends were already talking about the “crazier” slides. Nope. Not today. Not ever. Peace and happiness were calling me. I waved them off and headed to Siam Beach for some much needed recovery. Relaxing, eating my lunch and sun bathing.

Of course, the girls came back soaked, trying to convince me to join the next round. I shook my head proudly.

Looking back, I realize Loro Parque wasn’t just about slides. It was about discovering limits. And mine? Clearly, a fear of vertical, screaming death tubes.

Still, it’s a memory I’ll laugh about forever. Maybe I’ll try the slides again someday… but I’m not keeping that promise…But for now, I’m officially the king of the calm pool, sipping my drinks. The others got thrills, I got the tan and a story of pure, comedic terror.

Lesson learned! Sometimes peace is better than panic. And sometimes, it’s okay to just watch your friends scream while you float!
