ZOO in Brno

When we were looking at what to do on the weekend, we saw that there is a zoo only 30 min away by train of course we couldnt resist looking at some cute and scary animals. So we went to check it out. The zoo is located on the edge of Brno and its on a big hill which adds to the aesthetics of the zoo, but its a little harder to walk.

The tickets cost us less than 4 euros because we are students. After coming in we got straight to looking at the information board. We really wanted to go see the tigers but sadly the cage was being restored so we were not able to see them but we didnt mind since there were still a lot of animals for us to see. My favourite animal we saw was a camel. Why? Because I didn’t know they were so massive I knew they were big but “dammnnn” they are massive. Second favourite was this big hamster looking animal (photo). It’s called a Black-Tailed prairie dog.

The Zoo is very big so we took a long time to see everything. We must have been in there for at least 4 hours. Even though there were a lot of cute animals in there the best place in the zoo was an area where there were baby goats and you were able to pet them. When I say they were cute, its an understatement!

I saw that going to a zoo seemed like a family weekend experience because there were picnic areas and playgrounds, and you could buy a yearly pass for very cheap. So there were a lot of families, and people were really relaxed. A mom just left the baby in a stroller, went upstairs to see the animal she wanted to see, and came back down without even looking a little worried.

I also bought some cool looking coins for a memory with animals engraved on them.
