When the Vacuum Was Too Loud…

During our service work, something very unexpected happened. One of my colleagues decided to turn off the electricity. The reason? The noise from the vacuum cleaner was bothering him. At first, we couldn’t believe it. A vacuum cleaner – of all things! In Slovenia, we are used to much louder and more disruptive noises at work. People rarely complain about those. But this time, even a relatively small noise was too much. My colleague calmly went and switched off the power. We all stared at him, amazed. It was fascinating to see someone react this way. The office suddenly became completely silent. We could hear even the smallest sounds, like paper rustling. After a few moments, the vacuum was finally quiet. Some of us laughed, while others were just shocked. It made us realize how different people can react to noise. For a short time, the whole situation felt almost like a comedy. And then, of course, we had to explain how to clean it without vacum cleaner.
