Working on a Porsche boxster

After I finished the BMW M6 the tuner of the school saw that I am a very good mechanic, and he wanted to get his Porsche fixed. So I accepted the work and i was thrilled that they trusted me this much. When I started working on it I first prepared the working bay and protected the car. I needed to change the spark plugs, coils, water pump and balance all the tires and make the alignment. First I started with taking the wheels and the wheel arches off, changed the spark plugs and coils. It was a bit challenging because of the engine position and limited space, but somehow i managed to replace them without taking extra stuff off the car.

After some time I went to the machine to balance the tires, I cleaned the wheels thoroughly so there was no debris and grime. I put the wheels on the machine and they were perfect for balancing because they didn’t need a lot of weights. I had to put the wheels back on the car and do the alignment. So if you want to do the alignment every part on the subframe needs to be perfect and cannot have play within the subframe, and you need to have a machine for this job. In school they had the Falcon laser alignment, so I put on the boards on the wheels where the lasers make contact so they can see the angle that the wheels are in.

After that you need to select the car in the computer so the machine knows what specifications it needs. I checked everything blocked the steering wheel and it had jus zero point five degrees in the front part and zero point nine degrees, so it wasn’t that hard to align it. I did the alignment and it was perfect. I changed the water pump too but it was not that hard because it had good access to it. I am very happy to be a part of the mechanics here that they trust and believe in him, if I didn’t have my own company I would surely come work here because of the hospitality and the kindness that they offer.
