The city of Mikkeli also has an airport, although it is smaller. They have gliders and regular planes there, but they are smaller. During the summer they also have some events at the airport where you can observe the planes, look at them up close, learn something new and socialize a bit. They also have a golf course next to the airport. You can’t see it well in the picture because it was covered in snow. There is also NATO nearby, about 5-10 minutes away, which is new for them, since they have only been in Mikkeli for about a year.
