Project: Building a Grill in T酶nder
In T酶nder, we are taking part in an exciting and educational project where we will design and build a functional grill from scratch. The project will last for two weeks, during which we will develop skills in planning, modeling, technical documentation, and hands-on metalworking.
During the first week, we focused on designing and creating a 3D model of our grill. Using specialized modeling software, we constructed a detailed digital representation, ensuring that every component was precisely defined. Each piece was carefully illustrated in technical drawings, which served as the blueprint for the next stage. Once the drawings were finalized, we transferred them into another program that generated the machine code needed for cutting the metal components.
The second week will be all about hands-on work. We will use a plasma cutter to cut out the required metal pieces, followed by meticulous grinding to smooth the edges. Before moving on to welding, we will conduct welding practice to familiarize ourselves with the technique and ensure strong, high-quality joints. Once we feel confident, we will begin assembling the grill by welding the pieces together. After the welding is complete, we will refine the final product by grinding and inspecting every detail to ensure proper assembly.
In the end, we will proudly admire our finished creation鈥攁 fully functional grill that we built ourselves! This project is not only a great challenge but also an incredible learning experience. It will allow us to develop valuable skills in technical drawing, metalworking, and machine operation, making it an unforgettable and rewarding journey.
