The trip to the forest was interesting. Our mentor took us on a trip not too far from school. On the way, we talked about school policies. We also discussed the rules for small excursions. It was important to know what we could and couldn’t do. The walk was refreshing, and we enjoyed the conversation. Once we arrived, we saw a beautiful lake. The scenery was peaceful and calming.
We gathered wood and started a small bonfire. Our mentor supervised the process carefully. Soon, we began grilling sausages over the fire. The smell of grilled food filled the air. Edin and I had never done this before. Our school never organizes trips like this. In Slovenia, lighting fires in forests is strictly forbidden. This made the experience even more special. After eating, we cleaned up the area. Then, we headed back to school. Our school day ended on a great note.
