Living in Denmark on my Erasmus+ project has been a great experience.
One of the things I notice every day is the food.
I have to say, I do like the food here.
They eat a lot of bread, cheese, and fish, which I enjoy.
Their pastries are delicious, and I love trying new flavors.
But still, I miss the food from Slovenia.
At home, everything feels fresher and has more taste.
I miss homemade soups, fresh vegetables from the garden, and my mom’s cooking.
Here, food feels a bit more simple and sometimes less spicy.
I also noticed they eat dinner quite early, which feels strange to me.
In Slovenia, we sit together for longer meals, and that feels more cozy.
Still, I am happy to try different dishes and learn about their food culture.
I even found some new ideas that I want to cook at home.
Food is one of the best ways to experience a country.
But in the end, nothing beats the taste of home.
