While I was visiting Barcelona with my friends on our late night walks around the city we encountered a lot of scammers. Let me elaborate this, when we were walking many random people were just asking us where are we from and what do we like to do. For example when we said we were from Slovenia this people immediately switched from English to Balkan languages they were speaking in Bosnian, Serbian, Slovenian it was a mix of all these languages but yes we could understand them. I think that they learn different language like German and Balkan because of the tourist that visit Barcelona because maybe you would rather trust a person which is speaking your language and not a foreign one. To be fully honest I don’t know if these were scams but it went like this, people were asking what do we like, do we like to drink do we like girls and stuff like that they were also offering drugs, its so common in Barcelona. I am saying that this is a scam because I heard from many people that if u go with these people when they take you to the bars or somewhere else it could happen that maybe you could get robbed in an alleyway or maybe u can get even trapped in the bar its also a possibility that when you come to the bar and get their “free drinks” that they drug the drinks and you completely lose sense of who are you and what you are doing. These are the three tactics I heard that could happen to you if you go with these people, so if anyone is planning to visit Barcelona just beware in the evenings that the kind of people could approach you and offer you these kind of things. Personally I wasn’t scared because there was 5 of us but if I would be alone and a stranger offered me this kind of stuff I think I would be pretty scared so I don’t recommend walking in Barcelona at night alone.
