Finally, Friday was here and we couldn’t wait for the weekend to come. It was the first day without our teachers. They went back to Slovenia today morning. We got to school and immediately started working. It was on the last day of the week that we learned a new technique for making shirt collars. It was like a whole new world from what we learned back home. We designed collars in two groups. Me and Zoja worked together. A classmate printed out the basic pattern for a shirt, and next to that, we drew a collar that we later cut out of a brown-colored fabric. We hand-sewed it together and placed it on a mannequin. We saw where the collar was too tight and cut slits so it fit. We measured the length between the cuts and cut the pattern on the same spot. Next, we placed the pattern on another paper. We cut out the new pattern and made a new collar. We had a sharp and very wide collar that was hard to make. It took the whole day but finally, we finished it. I was so tired but I can’t wait to see what new thing we will make on Monday.
