Weekends in Vaasa are very quiet, one might even say too quiet. You meet only a few people on the street who do their shopping in bars, there is live music, but there are fewer visitors because, as they say, most students go home over the weekend, while some go to more northern places where they have holiday homes in nature.

It mostly happens on Thursdays, when students have meetings and go to bars or parties, because in every bar they get one patch that they have to sew on their school pants, then they also have cheaper drinks in bars.

There is more going on in Vaasa during the week and it is better to go out during the week because it is easier to meet different students.
