We went to a car museum and saw many interesting cars and motorcycles. When we arrived at section with motorcycles, I got very interested about one of them. Its name was Rudge Whitworth.

Rudge Whitworth was a conglomerate formed in 1894 by the merger of two bicycle manufacturers, the Whitworth Cycle Co of Birningham and the Rudge Cycle Co of Coventry. It produced Rudge motorcycles between 1909 and 1939. The Rudge boasted several technical innovations and performed well in motorcycle racing. This was partly duet he fact that Rudge had already made a four-valve cylinder head in 1924. With a top speed of around 160km/h, the motorcycle is one of the fastest of its time. The brakes were also effective. It weights around 210 kg and has 33 hp.

The Rudge in a museum has been with its current owner (Markku Peura) since 2003. There is no detailed information about the history of the bike, but its first registration number was T-344. According to the number, the bike was in the Turku and Pori province and was probably used as a racing motorcycle. Today, the owner rides the Rudge at various show events where old racing motorcycles are displayed, including the Pyynikki Circuit in Tampere.
